Last week, I shared a routine – the first one I had ever choreographed. I shot about a dozen takes of it over three sessions, each time wanting to make improvements – straighter legs, smoother transitions, clearer angles… the list goes on. I was plagued by the overwhelming desire to make it perfect and even after sharing it, I still considered reshooting it.
Ultimately, I realized that I can strive to make things perfect, but nothing will ever actually be perfect. So unless I want to work only on that same routine indefinitely and potentially forever, I have to appreciate it as a stage in my progress and continue on my journey.
So to keep me moving forward, I’ve set a couple of deadline-oriented goals for myself: I am brainstorming pole combos to share on YouTube every Tuesday and then I’ll share a routine incorporating some of those combos on the 31st.
Here’s my first Tricksy Tuesdays combo:
Feel free to join me for future Tricksy Tuesdays on YouTubes :)
